The Frog Prince: An MM Romance Fairytale Retelling

The Frog Prince: An MM Romance Fairytale Retelling by A.M. Rose

A man without a crown could still be a prince. But what about a monster? Adalwin has always been a prince. Born into royalty as the heir to the throne of Hallin, he was raised to rule a kingdom. Only, the one he receives is not the one he expected. Cruelly cursed and presumed dead by all who once knew him, his kingdom is now made up of a murky glen where water-splashers dwell and crooked linden trees block the light. Sitting on a throne built from bracken and moss, his only subjects are those creatures that won’t run in terror at first glance. After all, who could swear fealty to a monster? Only the bravest cross the borders into the Frog Prince’s kingdom, drawn by whispered rumors of a boon should you meet his price. An opportunity for him to show the man underneath the monster—a chance to break the curse’s shackles and return home. When a beautiful, kind-hearted man with hair blessed by the sun itself stumbles into his lair looking to make a deal, more than just Adalwin’s interest is stirred. Maybe his lonely heart is too. But when the man tries to break the deal, the Frog Prince must come to collect. Each book set in the GriMM fairytale world can be read as a standalone and contains its own Happily Ever After story. But we do recommend reading each one, as the tales are connected to each other in multiple magical ways.

SFINCS

Dante Alighieri, amateur grifter and recent college graduate, has no plans for the Summer after his senior year, except to finally have sometime off and relax. After several months in New York City, he strikes up a deal with Virgilio “Virgil” Eco Olivares, carefree and semi-well known writer on a visa always almost expiring : a two-week trip to Italy together to find their old bodies to beat those reincarnation blues. A journey that was meant to be about reconnecting with past lives and recovering what was lost in ancient times suddenly turns to peril. With danger at every corner and turbulent emotions running high, relaxation is quickly thrown out the window. In this satirical work of verse-novel, the trip of a lifetime leads to daunting revelations about Italian-American culture and the Western canon’s perspective of literature, fraught with raising important questions about cultural collectivism and the complicated intersection between race, sexuality, disability, age, and gender identity under Capitalism. While in transit, the important personal questions revolving around both Dante and Virgil’s present lives still persist– a truth that neither is ready to confront: What does it mean to love someone too late? What does it mean to be you when you don’t live in your own body anymore?
